This shoot was so much fun! It was super last minute but I had been wanting to go shoot at a beautiful location that only works in the afternoon. (Unfortunately!) So, a few days before (once I could see that we wouldn’t get rained out!) I called my model team and we headed out for a patriotic themed shoot. I loved every moment of it!!
horses
Every year I have people asking if they can bring their horse along for their shoot. YES! I LOVE having horses there. They take time (typically a LOT of time) and are a good challenge but it’s a challenge I always look forward to! I strongly encourage my girls to come with some different poses in mind that fit the personality of not only them but also their horse!
cara
I LOVE LOVE LOVED my time with Cara and her mom. What incredible people!! They were beyond sweet and just a dream to work with. Cara was the first senior I have taken pictures of from her high school. I adored the light blue cap and gown. What a beautiful color. But not as pretty as Cara. Seriously. She is ADORABLE! (And completely stunning, obviously!)
dylan
Dylan was such a trooper! He had three of us there helping him with his every move. He was incredibly tolerant of us. He has such a sweet personality and hair that any girl would absolutely die to have!! Thank you, Dylan, for hanging with your mamas and me all morning! Hopefully we didn’t make it too painful. ;)
anna
Anna’s shoot was so beautiful. We headed a little ways out of town so that we could get beautiful views, tall grasses, and some peace and quiet. And it worked. The weather was so perfect. Her hair and make-up looked natural and simple. Her clothing choices were pure gold. Anna, thank you for letting me take pictures of you. I honestly loved spending my morning with you and your cute mama!
christmas instagram set
What a FUN shoot!!! I did a similar shoot to this last year but this year I changed things top a little bit. I got some new decorations (because why not!) and treated it more like an Instagram set! An insta set is just a little vignette that is decked to the nines. I wanted this one to ooze of Christmas cheer. We even had Christmas music playing! The girls who were invited to this shoot were my current models and their junior friends. I loved this and I think I’ll do it again next year. I loved meeting their friends and seeing the fun they all had together.
fall leaves
Working with my spokesmodels is always fun! They’re so sweet and always up for fun shoots. When I asked them super past minute to head out early on a Saturday morning to take some pictures in the fall leaves they jumped at it! We had so much fun and got a lot of beautiful pictures in less than an hour!
abby
Abby’s shoot was awesome because I got to try a location I have been wanting to break in for a while now! She had such a fun style and we pulled in cheer too! I’ve been taking pictures of Abby for 4 years now and have also done her older sister’s senior pictures as well as her older brother’s! Now mama can finally have big prints of them all at the top of the stairs! She’s been so patient!
bri
Bri’s session was so so beautiful. Fabulous light. Perfect location choices. Great clothing. And of course an incredible senior! Thank you, Bri, for letting me take your senior pictures! As a side note, this cutie went to SCOTLAND this summer! WHAAAAT?! So so jealous!
grace
Grace’s location was AMAZING! When seniors come to me with private locations they have access to I get giddy! I love going to new places… and with animals?!? YES PLEASE! Horses allllllllways make me work. But I like a good challenge. :) As a bonus, I’ll be seeing this adorable girl at our National Charity League meetings for the rest of the year! Yay!!!!
olivia
I loved Olivia’s session! I love that we took them AFTER she graduated! There’s never a wrong time to take your senior pictures. (Actually that’s not true… there are a lot of wrong times to do it but right after you graduate isn’t one of them! ;))
madysen
Madysen’s shoot was GORGEOUS! I know I always say that, but you guys! The flowers were probably 25 feet tall! Ok, not really. But they were probably 4 feet tall. The sun was shining and the weather was perfect! I enjoyed every single moment of it! Her family is so cute and I can’t wait to get my photography hands on her sister in a few years! It will come all too quickly!
trace
I’ve known Trace for years. And last year I did his older brother’s senior pictures. AND his mom is a super close friend of mine. AND she’s my videographer! I adore this family! I loved spending the morning with Trace… who didn’t need even 5 seconds to relax in front of the camera. Every single picture I got of him was a natural smile. Trace, you’re adorable! Thanks for hanging out with me for the morning!!
cameron
A few years ago I took Cameron’s older sister’s pictures. This was back when he was shorter than her and didn’t have a jaw line that would cut through ice. ;) I love that he brought his dog, Koda, to the shoot. We got some cute pictures with him and I think taking the spotlight off this quiet but amazing senior was probably exactly what he wanted. Cameron, thank you for putting up with me! I had a great time.
chloe
Chloe is absolutely as sweet as they come. She is so beautiful and was a champ at her really chilly photoshoot. Seriously. It was cold. We tried out a fresh location that I had only been to once. I’m so glad we did because it was PERFECT for her. So much variety and just stunning! Chloe, thank you for letting me take your pictures! I had a great time and can’t wait to see where you dance off to after high school. Somewhere amazing, no doubt!
easton
Doing Easton’s senior pictures was really fun. It was a long time coming and something I have been talking to his mom (and my best friend!) about for years. I honestly can’t believe he is old enough to be a senior. Where has the time gone? Just to make things more interesting, Easton went skateboarding the night before his shoot and totally chipped his tooth… his FRONT tooth. ha! I photoshopped that sucker and he went and got it fixed from his awesome dad later that day. :)
naimh
Naimh and I talked for MONTHS before we finally got to the actual session. Between her fun and busy college life, weather issues (ehem, SNOW!), and waiting for things to finally become green, we had many moons. ;) But it was totally worth the wait. Her pictures are just stunning. And she is so sweet and fun. Her boyfriend is probably the best assistant I’ve ever had. I offered him a job but I think this whole college education thing is going to win out. ;)
whitney
I have known Whitney for a few years now and can I just tell you that she gets more and more darling (and beautiful) with each passing year. Whitney decided she wanted a graduation session, which is ALWAYS a good idea! The first date we had lined up in late May met us with over TWELVE INCHES OF SNOW! Not funny, Colorado! I’m so glad we were able to head out later that week and find nothing but sunshine. I’m completely smitten with her images. They’re so beautiful… because she’s so beautiful!
shawna- 2019 spokesmodel
Shawna is absolutely ADORABLE! Her parents are equally as fabulous. It was her daddy-o that found this amazing car for our 70’s themed shoot. I loved it so much and the shoot wouldn’t have been the same without it! The shoot also wouldn’t have been the same without Shawna. She is such a sweet person. She is also beautiful but being kind is so much more important! Nothing but pink puffy hearts for this high school grad!
paige
Paige drove all the way out from Kansas for our spokesmodel shoot. I’ve gotta say, her pink glasses…. LOVE!! They totally made her 70’s look. And her make up was AMAAAAZZZZZING! I totally adore this sweet, quiet girl. She’s a gem. And did I mention she will be playing golf in college?! (So cool!)
